Financial Analyst
Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze and advise on the potential benefits to improve school's operations, maximize profits and increase efficiency. Communicate with executives, employees, vendors and clients to determine the strengths and weaknesses of Loving Tree Academy in order to help directors to improve the business.
  2. Gather information from education field and inform investment decisions by analyzing financial information to forecast business. Evaluate the potential investment and recommend to Director. Maintain investment portfolio information, prepare projections on investments, and report monthly.
  3. Interpret data on price, stability, and future investment-risk factors, target customers, and any other factors affecting investment decision. Provide direct report to the Director.
  4. Monitor developments in the fields of finance, business, and education. Keep up with all the new information in the fields.
  5. Gather and organize information on various operational problems or procedures. Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods of proceeding.
  6. Develop operational budgets and evaluate spending, produce reports, examine monetary activities and suggest changes to boost profits, ensure financial systems are followed. Assist Director with the preparation of annual budget and cost reports in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare monthly variance reports of actual to budget income and expenses.
  7. Perform cost analysis and work with the Director to develop a full year forecast, which will give insight to management team on how we are doing vs. budget and if we need to course correct. Also work with Director to investigate investment opportunities for the company.
 
Qualifications:
  1. Master degree in Finance or a related field. Master or MBA degree a plus.
  2. Ability to correctly and effectively communicate in both English and Mandarin.
  3. Experience in developing and/or the ability to understand complex driver based financial models.
  4. Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
  5. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Proven ability to work with partners, research variances, develop forecasts and analyze trends to achieve budget.
  7. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and develop excellent working relationships inside and outside of the department.
